Alice in Wonderland

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower." -Albert Camus

My sister Laurie is a budding photographer. She recently purchased a very expensive camera, enrolled in some photography classes, and started her own professional blog called Life Through A Lens. Last week while she was visiting me in Utah, she contacted a local photographer (Liz Frandsen) whose work she has admired for some time. Her goal was to just observe, but Liz turned the camera on Laurie and literally made her a princess for the day.

"Autumn... the year's last, loveliest smile." -William C. Bryant

"Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn." -Elizabeth Lawrence

Aren't these photos AMAZING?! And what's even more remarkable is the snow is REAL! I thought our fluke snowstorm would totally wreck havoc on their photo shoot, but it actually made the landscape that much more picturesque and poetic.

If you're interested in seeing more pictures from this magical day, Liz's blog is called Life|Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen.

PK

P.S. Laurie, you looked more than awake... you looked ALIVE!

oh my - these photos are absolutely stunning! thanks so much for sharing...even if I don't like the title of your post...spent most of my childhood answering this:

them: "what's your name?"
me: "Alice"
them: "oh, like Alice in Wonderland!"
me: just smile and think "ugh - I hate my name!" ...

You should have gotten in some of the photos Kelly!

These pictures are SO COOL!! Your sister really lucked out on this trip to Utah. I agree with Cath. You two look very similar in some of these shots. ~Brandy

I thought our beautiful canyons were, well...beautiful while unadorned. But with Laurie swirling her Alice-ish person through them? Just gorgeous! So ethereal!
